Once in a while the &#8216;little something&#8217; will be changed.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"h1tekstsubkop\">Delicious rice salad for the Summer season<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When we have a spell of warm weather in the Netherlands, I always prepare this dish at least once. The recipe is from\u00a0<em>Het grote boek met de heerlijkste salades en koude schotels<\/em>\u00a0(&#8216;The large book with the most delicious salads and cold dishes&#8217;) by Christian Teubner and Annette Wolter from 1984. All I did was replace part of the mayonnaise with yoghurt. The wording is also mine, but the recipe remains that of Teubner and Wolter.<br \/>\n<span class=\"tag\">Lunchgerecht<\/span> of <span class=\"tag\">hoofdgerecht<\/span><span class=\"yield\"> voor 2 tot 4 personen<\/span>; <em>bereiding<\/em> <span class=\"cooktime\"><span class=\"value-title\" title=\"PT20M\">20 minuten<\/span><\/span> plus 2 uur in de koelkast.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"photo wp-image-12353 size-medium aligncenter\" title=\"Rijstsalade met tonijn\" src=\"https:\/\/coquinaria.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/rijstsaladetonijnkl-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Rijstsalade met tonijn\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coquinaria.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/rijstsaladetonijnkl-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/coquinaria.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/rijstsaladetonijnkl.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/>125 gr (1 cup) long grain rice<br \/>\n1 small can of tuna<br \/>\n100 gr pickled pearl onions, drained<br \/>\n1 rad bell pepper in cubes<\/p>\n<p><em>Dressing<\/em><br \/>\n4 Tbsp mayonnaise<br \/>\n2 Tbsp sour yoghurt (so, not a &#8216;mild&#8217; version)<br \/>\n2 Tbsp capers<br \/>\n2 Tbsp liquid from the capers<br \/>\nsalt and white pepper to taste<br \/>\ngrated peel of \u00bd lemon<\/p>\n<h3>Preparation<\/h3>\n<p>Boil the rice as usual. Rinse in a strainer under running cold water, drain.<br \/>\nMix the ingredients for the dressing. Mix the ingredients for the salad and combine with the dressing. Put in the refrigerator for at least one hour.<\/p>\n<h3>To serve<\/h3>\n<p>As first course, lunch dish or even as main course (with a green salad).
